Maintenance & Operation of the Texas High Frequency Radar Network

With capital investment through Texas A&M University's Chancellor's Research Initiative, multiple 5 MHz CODAR SeaSondes were purchased and installed along the Texas coast. Maintenance and operation for these systems is currently funded by the U.S. Integrated Ocean Observing System (IOOS) through the Gulf of Mexico Ocean Observing System (GCOOS).

Gulf of Mexico Hurricane Glider Operations in Support of Tropical Cyclone Intensification Forecasts

Providing in situ profile data of water temperature and salinity from Slocum gliders to be utilized for data assimilation to improve the accuracy of hurricane models.
